MORPHOLOGY Morphology is related to the conceptual study of the internal structure of words. It supplies us information about words like phonetics which supply phonological information of words. Concerned with morphology , we are able to understand many kinds of information about the world's meaning, the grammatical information (what kind of parts of speech the word is) , how the word has come, collocations, idioms as well as structural information. A morpheme may be defined as the smallest constituent of a word which bears the grammatical significance.
